The Live Streaming of “Visiting Enterprises to Promote Employment & Experiencing the Graduation Show with the President and Deans of CAFA”

From June 16th through to 18th, a three-day live streaming themed on “Visiting Enterprises to Promote Employment & Experiencing the Graduation Show with the President and Deans of CAFA” was successfully held at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (abbr. CAFA), which was broadcast lasting 18 hours over three days and accumulated a total of 2,028,500 views on five online platforms including CCTV Videos (www.yangshipin.cn), CCTV Literature and Art, Beijing News (bjnews.com.cn), Douyin and Xiaohongshu.

Gao Hong, Secretary of the CAFA Party Committee; Fan Di’an, President of CAFA; Chen Qi, Executive Deputy Dean of the CAFA Graduate School; Sun Tao, Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Wang Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CAFA Party Committee, as well we 15 deans, directors, deputy secretaries of the CAFA Party Branches (directly affiliated to the Party Committee) were invited to introduce and recommend the excellent graduation works by CAFA Class of 2022 exhibited during the Graduation Season for over 200 employers and the general public. It was hosted by Li Yadi, a postgraduate (enrolled in 2020) from the Institute of Arts Administration and Education and Zhang Yudong, a postgraduate (enrolled in 2020) from the School of City Design.

On the first day of the event, Party Secretary Gao Hong and President Fan Di’an provided a detailed interpretation of the significance and achievements of the online degree shows presented by CAFA. They respectively contacted high-quality employers and discussed about intentions for cooperation and talent selection. Chen Qi, Executive Vice Dean of the Graduate School and Sun Tao, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, respectively introduced the Degree Show of the Graduate School and the Degree Show of Undergraduates in their keynote speeches.

On the following two days, a total of 15 deans, directors, and deputy secretaries of the the CAFA Party Branches (directly affiliated to the Party Committee) from 13 departments took the audience to “visit the online graduation exhibition” around the characteristics of each department; and they directly talked with high-quality employers in related industries and recommended graduates. All the companies affirmed the comprehensive quality of CAFA graduates, and they would like to provide platforms and welcome CAFA graduates to participate in them.

At the end of the event, Wang Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CAFA Party Committee, delivered a concluding speech. Wang Xiaolin introduced the basic overview of CAFA, the concept of talent training and the advantages of students, and she recommended particular graduates from the aspects of painting skills, aesthetic level and creative ability. Talking about innovation and entrepreneurship education, Wang Xiaolin said that CAFA has always encouraged employment through entrepreneurship and created a school-enterprise industry-production-research cooperation model, cultivated students' awareness of independent innovation, and provided a superb innovation and entrepreneurship platform for students from art schools across the country. Outstanding achievements were awarded in national, provincial and municipal competitions. Finally, on behalf of CAFA, Wang Xiaolin expressed her heartfelt thanks to the employers and the audience in the live broadcast room for their support, and congratulated everyone for the successful event.
