Yang Xinguang’s “The Unknown Depth of the Woods” is on display at Beijing Commune

Beijing Commune presents Yang Xinguang’s second solo exhibition “The Unknown Depth of the Woods” at the gallery on May 19th, 2017. The exhibition will remain on view through July 8th, 2017.

Beijing based artist Yang Xinguang was born in Hunan in 1980. He graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts, with Bachelor's degree, in 2007. He has taken part in exhibitions such as Super Organism CAFAM Biennale (CAFAM, Beijing, 2011), The First CAFAM Future Exhibition: Sub-phenonmena: Report on the State of Chinese Young Art (CAFAM, Beijing, 2012), The 9th Shanghai Biennale (Power Station of Art, Shanghai, 2012) and The 1st Monte Video Biennial (Uruguay, 2012), etc. His works have been featured in many museums and institutions, such as White Rabbit Museum, Frac des Pays de la Loire, Singapore Art Museum, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Rockbund Art Museum, Today Art Museum, Minsheng Art Museum and so on. He was nominated for HUGO BOSS ASIA PRIZE 2015, as well as ”Young Artist of the Year” by Award of Art China (AAC) in the same year. His works have been collected by Kadist Art Foundation (Paris and San Francisco) and FRAC des Pays de la Loire (Nantes, France), etc.
