Galerie du Monde is pleased to present Inkchronicity, a curated exhibition of conceptual ink paintings by Li Hao, C.N.Liew, Zhong Yueying and ceramic paintings by Qi Yu. It will be staged from January 8 to March 10, 2015.

Li Hao was born in 1982, and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. In 2012, His work "The Transformation about 798" was selected to be shown in The Second Modeling Art Exhibition of New Artists at the National Art Museum of China; in the same year, another of his works, "Get Lost", was included in The Fifth Beijing International Art Biennale at the National Art Museum of China. His works have been exhibited extensively in China over the past few years and were shown at Art Taipei in November of this year. Li Hao's creation changed significantly this year. No longer limited to figurative work, he is doing abstract imagery such as with the series "Guixiang" and "Moxiang". With his works inspiring the new idea of "ink", he breaks the rules of traditional ink printing and elevates it to the spiritual level. Li Hao uses his abstract language to paint freely and challenges the adventitious nature of ink. It seems that Li Hao paints inadvertently, but actually every painting is designed carefully. Li Hao oriented the contemporary concept but uses abstraction to create a perfect combination of human emotion and prudence. As a new generation of ink artists, Li Hao changes the traditional way of appreciation and brings ink painting to a unique realm. This realm includes the social responsibility of the new generation of contemporary ink artists, and it reflects a young artist's passion for art and his concern of humanities.
