It is the second round of the graduation exhibition of the year, and also becomes a climax for the graduation exhibition. On the opening day, the Departments of Printmaking and Mural Painting also reviewed the graduates and selected the outstanding graduation works. The Department of Printmaking uses the foundation aspect of teaching of the specialties, the comprehensive teaching of the tutors’ studios, as well as the auxiliary technical teaching from the printmaking technical studios to cultivate students in order to grasp various skills to create printmaking and the performing abilities of the artistic languages.

The students of the Department of Printmaking have active thoughts, with flexible and variable expressive ways, and excellently perform in the exhibition. Su Xinping, Dean of the School of Plastic Arts, Director of the Department of Printmaking highly evaluated the graduates’ creation of the year: “Compared with previous years, the graduation exhibition of the year has improved, and more importantly it appears to have many high spots, and breakthroughs. Some students are not only sensitive to materials, but also have a clear language and expressive way, so that people can feel that the students have a strong social and cultural sensitivity, while they don’t lose the characteristics of printmaking.” Most of the graduation creations of the Department of Mural Painting are easel paintings, with a variety of creative language, in addition to the pursuit of the performance of line drawing and the color of the spirits of traditional Chinese mural painting, reflecting the in-depth exploration on the mediums, public artistic relations, and the decorative nature of art. The graduation exhibition of the School of Architecture fully reveals the distinct personalities of the students from CAFA, while the graduation works reflect the relationships between architectural designs and the present lives, regional cultures, functional uses, and the spatial transformations.
