The exhibition is part of the Sculpture 2012 - Sanguandian No.1 Art Exhibition that was initiated by Hubei Museum of Art and tours around the countries. From March 21 to April 3, Guangdong Museum of Art presents this exhibition featuring works by five renowned domestic artists - Sui Jiangguo, Fu Zhongwan, Zhang Yongjian, Zhang Wang and Jiangjie.

The works being displayed are selected from those that the five artists have created in the past 18 years. The works reflect the change and development of Chinese contemporary sculpture. In 1994, the five artists joined hands to hold a group exhibition at the gallery of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The exhibition displayed sculptures that were based on each of their life experiences and made breakthroughs in the relationship between sculptures and space. It was such a critically acclaimed one that 18 years later, Hubei Museum of Art has gathered the five artists again to present their new works, which not only pays tribute to the former exhibition but also aims at displaying and studying the development of Chinese contemporary sculpture.
