The Second PHOTOSHANGHAI Exhibition of Photography opened at the China Art Museum, Shanghai on January 22, 2013. Capture the moment by camera, record the times by Photography. The theme being the current times, from news events to human stories, from natural beauty to urban changes, “The Second PHOTOSHANGHAI Exhibition of Photography” embodies the love, attention and thinking about the world, trends and life. About 300 works of images, a selection of 4000 works by more than 100 participants of photography, like thousands of colorful sparks of the times, floating down on the frames of the pictures. The light and shadow knit together, whose beauty is impressive. From a photo, you could enjoy a moving story, a train of thought, and a unique sentiment. Some works are impressive, such as the Tibet Series by Yan Chun, Beautiful Scenery of Xiapu in Fujian Province by Du Fu-sun, as well as the Pujiang Series by Yu Huiwen.

Concerned, guided and jointly supported by Shanghai Culture, Radio, Film and Television Administration, Wenhui Xinmin United Press Group, the Institute of Journalism of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, China Art Palace, Department of Photography Art of Wenhuibao Newspaper, Sino-Swiss Research Center of Image Art, the PHOTOSHANGHAI Exhibition of Images was successfully launched, which has become an annual event since last year, aiming to develop it to be a comprehensive art fair, a collection of exhibitions, an exchange and trade opportunity for the future, gathering the world’s top photographers and agencies, and selecting and awarding photography with international influence.

The exhibition remains on view until March 24, 2013.
