Galerie Ora-Ora is going to bring Chinese Fresh Ink artist Peng Jian’s latest works in his first solo show “Through the Windows” in Hong Kong. Peng’s art is marked by its sensitivity, serenity, reserved temperament and close observation in his daily life. In his current series, cityscapes behind window screens are delicately portrayed, rendering confined and opened spaces at the same time. He incorporates traditional ruler paintings approach with modern city landscapes, transforming his artworks into a meticulous yet abstract manifestation of our contemporary urban livelihood. Looking at his paintings, viewers will be enlightened by the graceful construction of sceneries, triggering thoughts and sentiments at the same time.
