Bringing together his paintings full of personal emotions and Buddhist allegories, Liu Bojun's new solo exhibition will be held from 26th October through to 9th November, 2011 in the National Art Museum of China, Beijing.
Finger painting is a kind of painting intended to be applied with fingers and palms instead of traditional brush. Different from the art education medium for children, finger painting of traditional Chinese style is extremely hard so that few people learn, let alone successors. As one of living masters of finger painting, Liu Bojun has learned from Pan Tianshou(1897—1971) personally and has practiced it for more than 60 years. His ingeniously conceived works are created with both of his hands, reaching present “painting with ten fingers”. Not only can Liu Bojun paint flowers and birds on paper, but also he use ten fingers, which is absolutely unique in modern fine arts circle.

Along with this exhibition, a seminar on iu Bojun’s arts will be held at 10:00 on October 26, 2011 in the lecture hall on 7th floor of National Art Museum of China. Important fine arts historians, reviewers, scholars and experts of Chinese modern fine arts history and relevant scholars of fine arts circle will be invited to jointly discuss Liu Bojun’s arts.
