The 14th Beijing International Art Exposition Unveiled in August, 2011

The 14th Beijing International Art Exposition takes “Artistic Creativity,Artistic Life” as the grand theme and will be held from 18 August to 22 August, 2011 at the Beijing China World Trade Center. The Beijing International Art Exposition always holds the theory of an exhibition along with Internationalization, demonstrating the best Quality and Specialization. Having developed for over ten years, it has already become a big stage for the transaction of the works of art and academic communication while seeking worldwide attention. For the 2010(13th)Beijing International Art Exposition, more than sixty galleries from sixteen countries and regions attracted an audience of over thirty thousand people and the volume of the artworks business reached another record high.

In this year’s exposition, the organizing committee has requested that works exhibited should have a high collector’s value before accessing the Exposition. In last year’s exposition, Chinese collectors favored the Italian Artists’ Alliance and this year invites have been issued to more than 60 art masters from Germany, France and other European areas to participate in the exposition.

Renowned art critic Peng Feng who is the professor of Peking University will be invited as the curator of this themed exhibition entitled “Spirits of the New Orient—Chinese Contemporary Art Masters Exhibition”, plans are to invite artists including: Shang Yang (Series of Dong Qichang Program), Yue Minjun (Maze Series), Zhou Chunya (Peach Series), Zeng Fanzhi (Disordered Grass Series), Zhang Fangbai (Eagle Series), Shi Lan (Ink and Multimedia Series).
