My works use the traditional Chinese painting style to express the appearance of contemporary China. China is constantly developing, and new things are constantly emerging, affecting our lives. For example, QR codes and barcodes and various small advertisements emerge all over the city.

I hope that everything we do will make a positive change in the world. We must protect the environment and our hard work means that the world will become more harmonious.

Photography can be understood as very traditional. It can record many previous histories and bring people back to a previous era. Photography is also very contemporary as it can reassemble and edit things we witness very clearly. It may bring a sense of illusion of time and space for people when viewing the works. What they are seeing are both real and virtual images.

In terms of the style of the work, I advocate maintaining the aesthetics of the picture, which includes the composition, line, density and other rules of the painting. A good work is composed of many factors, and it should be able to reflect the artist’s cultivation and ability. A good work is wise.

This kind of extension to photography provides me with a very large space for expression, allowing me more techniques to create.
