At 9:00 am on January 10, 2016, initiated and organized by CAFA, undertaken by the Institute of Arts Administration and Education at CAFA, “The First Art Industrial Parks Development Forum” in China was held at the Auditorium room of CAFA Art Museum. The purpose of the forum is “Green Innovation Park, Sharing the Open Future”, to carry out and implement the expect and vision on the development of the art industrial parks by the state and society, and it also reveals that the sponsor CAFA actively think of and advocate the development of the art industrial parks in China.

First of all, President of CAFA Fan Di’an initially made a speech and said that the art industrial park was a new kind of urban cultural settlements, connecting the major platforms such as artistic creation, originality, production and cultural consumption. President Fan Di’an stressed on the three questions of the development of the art industrial park, firstly, the artistic ecological source and flow, referring to how to form a more organic relationship between the production of artistic creation and social cultural supply, secondly, how does art industrial parks form their own characteristics, relying on the development of cities, according to the personality and character of different regions and cities; thirdly, how to take the art as gravity, integrating the field of science and technology, to reflect the culture of the era.

Dean of the Institute of Arts Administration and Education at CAFA Prof. Yu Ding presided over the keynote speech following. Wang Yanling, Chairman of Beijing 798 Creative Culture Industry Investment Co., Ltd took “The World 798” as the topic to interpret the 798 Art District from the 4 aspects including the introduction of condition, development model, radiation effect, and the future of the 798 Art District. The development model of the 798 Art District is the combination of artists’ studios, galleries, art institutions, design agencies, fashion creative brand activities, creative products, tourism, urban leisure, restaurants and hotels, well-known brands, commercial real estates. For the future of the 798 Art District, Wang Yanling said it was on the basis of respecting the rule of business, to focus on the art and industrial development, in addition to paying attention to the cultural exchange and collision under the internationalized background.

Zhang Lin, General Manager of China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holding Co., Ltd gave a speech entitled “Culture Creative Industrial Project Practice in the Process of the Upgrade of the City”, expounding the development course and achievements of Shekou area, and focused on the three cases of creative cultural projects including “Shekou Nan Hai Yi Ku”, “Shenzhen and Hong Kong Urban Architecture Biennale in Shekou”, “2014 Sino-France: Shenzhen Shekou Originality Forum”.

Zheng Peiguang, President of Shanghai Redtown Culture Development Co.,Ltd gave a speech entitled “Development Rule, Management System and Strategic Choice of the Art Industrial Park”. He said that the upgrading pattern of the art park was that the investors intrusively intervened and the leaders strategically operated the art industry, on the basis of the artists spontaneously forming studios community and the development space of the original growing mode.

Zhang Jianguo, Vice Minister of Beijing Shunyi District Party Committee Propaganda Department gave a speech entitled “Transformation and Upgrade, Driven by Innovation, to Build Beijing Cultural Creative Industrial New Heights”. He briefly introduced the development situation of the culture creative industry of Shunyi District, among the convention and exhibition services, cultural trading industry, industrial design, and cultural tourism were well developed, a large number of enterprises and institutions related to the cultural creative industry promoted the industrial development in the area, such as the largest free cultural trade zone in Asia - the National Cultural Trade Base, International Industrial Park, Artron Art Center in Beijing, the Olympic Water Park, International Port of Flowers, etc.

Zhang Xinjian, Director and the committee member of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party made a speech entitled “Development History and Present Situation of Chinese Art Innovative Parks”. In his speech, Zhang Xinjian put forward four suggestions for the development of art industrial parks: firstly, always adhering to the innovation oriented strategy; secondly, adhering to the brand strategy; thirdly, adhering to the strategy of “walking out”, the use of culture to tell “Chinese story”; fourthly, adhering to the industry oriented strategy.

Director of the Department of Art Administration at the Institute of Arts Administration and Education at CAFA Zhao Li made a speech entitled “Creating the Art Innovation Industrial Park 2.0”. Prof. Zhao Li put forward that the core of the art creative industrial park was innovation, so how to keep and develop the creative culture was the fundamental task of the park. He was looking forward to the development of the art creative industrial park which was combined with the high-technology, bringing the transformation of the space and operating mode of the art creative industrial park based on the development of the virtual reality of the internet technology and the carrier.
