Sponsored by the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts, in collaboration with Nanjing Golden Eagle Life Center, “Big Face – New Works by Yue Minjun” is about to open at hall 2 of the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts on April 8 through to May 6, 2014. It showcases 33 works covering all categories of painting by Yue Minjun from 2005 to 2013, among which“Skin Series”, “Re-Portrait Series”, “Overlapping Series”, “Maze Series” will be the first to be shown in Mainland China.

This press conference of the exhibition will be held at the lecture hall of the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts at 14:30 on April 8, 2014, and the artist Yue Minjun will share with the media and audience his experience of his new creation. At the same time, the artist, presented honored guests as well as the teachers and students of the Nanjing University of the Arts will be invited to participate in the featured dialogue “Producing Idol – Artist and the Time” during the conference. After the end of the conference, audiences will be able to appreciate a modern dance tailored according to the “Big Face” exhibition by the teachers and students who majored in environmental choreography from the Nanjing University of the Arts.

On April 9, Yue Minjun will serve as a tutor and communicate with the faculty and students regarding artistic experience and life in the classes of the Departments of Printmaking and Sculpture at the Nanjing University of the Arts. The exhibition and activities are open to the public, which are accessible to the public to participate in.
