Academy – Exhibition of Works of the Young Teachers from Central Academy of Fine Arts is to be launched on 24 November 2013 at Today Art Museum. Tan Ping, renowned artist, Vice President of Central Academy of Fine Arts is the academic moderator of the exhibition. The event is an extension of the Academy – Exhibition of Works of Eight Young Teachers from Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. It brings brand new works of artists Yu Fan, Shi Yu, Bai Xiaogang, Sun Xun, Liu Shangying, Lu Liang, Li Ronglin, Wu Jiang, Yuan Yuan, Kang Jianfei. It is a presentation of the latest thoughts and artistic expression from these young teachers of the Academy born in the 1970s. These ten artists are the elites of the art education system of China's art colleges. They are very different in style and genre, but all representative of the major driving force of today's Academy. They are becoming more and more clear of their own positions and directions and showing great potentials as a characteristic group of China's organism of contemporary art. Their expressing and thinking are independent and mutually inspiring as they are from different majors. From the canvas to the space, from painting to concepts, from self-expression to social meanings, from collective to individuals, today's Academy artists no longer confine themselves to genre, technique, theme or faculty. They are entering a much broader and liberal territory. The Academy has constructed a multielement order while such diversified exploration is going on. The connotation of the Academy is much enriched and multivariate.
