On June 27, 2013, the group exhibition “The Black Dwarf/ Part 1” opened at Star Gallery in 798 Art District, Beijing, featuring the works by Navachaa, Liu Fujie, and Fan Xi.

Navachaa considers self-experience as a thrilling transcendent adventure, revealing the truth hidden in mind by clearly performance of tactile sensation. Liu Fujie has always described the weak sense of presence as being exhausted in causality of fate, moved by the efforts to seek a better future, even though the efforts always seem in vain, as if going through a door from one prison into another one. Through a lens, Fan Xi frankly looks at moving beings, like bright sunlight in your eyes, her lens touches the inviolable dignity and the truth behind appearances, while all things are carefully treated and profiled, including a kernel of a grass.
